太鲁阁号出轨50死！ 美国务院致哀：愿提供「一切可能援助」

台铁发生重大意外事故，造成50人不幸罹难。美国国务院今天表达深切哀悼与慰问，期望台湾能在此一困难时刻得到平安与慰藉，并表示愿提供援助。

美国国务院副发言人波特（Jalina Porter）今天在电话记者会上一开始，即向这起不幸事故表达哀悼之意。她表示，对这起出轨事故的死难者深感难过，也向所有受到影响的民众致以最深切的慰问。
她并表示，美国已准备好随时提供一切可能的援助，也正与当局密切联系，确定是否有美国公民受到影响。波特也期望在此一艰难时刻，台湾能得到和平与慰藉。
We are deeply saddened by the loss of life and casualties caused by the train derailment in Taiwan. We extend our deepest condolences to all those affected, and we wish Taiwan peace and comfort during this difficult time.
美国国务院东亚暨太平洋事务局（EAP）也同时透过推特致哀。推文指出，对于台湾火车出轨造成人员伤亡深感悲痛，对所有受到影响的人致上深切哀悼，也祝愿台湾在这一艰难时刻能得到平安与慰藉。

共和党籍参议员布莱克本（Marsha Blackburn）也透过推特表示，在听到台湾悲惨的火车出轨造成生命损失感到十分难过，并对受害者、家人与造成的影响表示诚挚哀悼。
共和党籍众议员匡希恒（John Curtis）也推文表示，为这起可怕事故的死难者与家属祈祷，并向友人与台湾民众表达最深切的慰问。
