英国女王进军社交媒体！高龄92岁的英国女王伊莉莎白二世7日在皇室官方Instagram上发表她的第一则贴文，并在最后署名「Elizabeth R.」。内容虽不是自拍或是美食，仍吸引超过25万人按赞朝圣。
Today, as I visit the Science Museum I was interested to discover a letter from the Royal Archives, written in 1843 to my great-great-grandfather Prince Albert. Charles Babbage, credited as the world’s first computer pioneer, designed the “Difference Engine”, of which Prince Albert had the opportunity to see a prototype in July 1843. In the letter, Babbage told Queen Victoria and Prince Albert about his invention the “Analytical Engine” upon which the first computer programmes were created by Ada Lovelace, a daughter of Lord Byron. Today, I had the pleasure of learning about children’s computer coding initiatives and it seems fitting to me that I publish this Instagram post, at the Science Museum which has long championed technology, innovation and inspired the next generation of inventors. 伊莉莎白女王7日前往伦敦科学博物馆参观夏季特展「最高机密」（Top Secret），她利用馆内的ipad分享一封在1843年由「分析机」（Analytical Engine）发明人贝比吉（Charles Babbage），写给其曾曾曾祖父艾伯特亲王（Prince Albert）的信。当时艾伯特亲王亲自见到分析机原型，而此分析机也促使世界上第一位电脑程式设计师勒芙蕾丝（Ada Lovelace）创造电脑程式。
伊莉莎白女王在文中指出，「非常荣幸可以学习有关孩童撰写电脑程式的计划，而且看来很适合在致力推动技术创新的地方，发布我第一则Instagram贴文。」英国皇室在Instagram、Facebook和Twitter都拥有数百万粉丝，但大部分的贴文都是由小编代发。

在位超过60年的伊莉莎白女王，早已经历过各种科技创新，她也不断地用这些科技创下先例，如她1940年在BBC进行儿童节目广播、1953年允许相机拍摄加冕典礼、1957年进行首次圣诞广播直播、1976年寄出首封电子邮件、2011年透过youtube播皇室婚礼，甚至早在2014年就发布了首则推特文章，巧合的是地点一样在伦敦科学博物馆。
The Queen and The Royal Family have held an association with technology for hundreds of years. From Queen Victoria trying out the new invention “the telephone” in 1878, to the first televised Christmas Broadcast in 1957 and right up to The Queen publishing her first Instagram post today @sciencemuseum The Queen has long been a supporter of digital communications tools, and Her Majesty sent her first tweet during her last visit to the Science Museum in 2014.
